Sales tax etc. discourages people from shopping in your areas but it seems to all level out in the long run.

Oh man, 7 is so much fun. My family owns 1-7, and in 7 you can land on a certain space, and a spear guy comes up and stabs you in the ass with a sharp shiny spear and you give someone else between 5 to 30 coins. I was baked and saw that and was laughing my ass off.
