Multi-Gaming Clan
Reply
Posted 2005-12-25, 10:41 PM
Hello everyone.

Would anyone be interested in signing up for my Multi-Gaming Clan, the Cui Unit? (I use the name Devire Cui in most of my games - hence the name Cui "Unit")

Games we play:

Battlefield 2
Counter-strike: Source
Call of Duty 2
Star Wars: Battlefront 2

..and more!

As of right now, we do have a web site (with a clan ranking system, etc - website cannot be viewed at this moment however), a BF2 T3 server [my friend Rudy, who has many 'connections', is giving me more details about this one - stay tuned], CS: S server. In the future, we hope to get a Call of Duty 2 server.. and hopefully by then the game will have some anti-cheat mechanism.

What we are looking for in our members:

-Has atleast one game that we play & will be mostly active member
-Will not be in multiple clans at once [Exceptions: We don't play a game that you own, etc]
-Has ventrilo or teamspeak (working on getting a server)
-Will atleast attempt to be respectful to all members & others in the game
-No teamkillers (this is an obvious one)
-Appreciates the idea of being in one clan or "family"

So.. if you're interested, just post here or send me a PM. It's good to be back.

Nah... I never really got into WoW once it went live. (didn't like the game all that much) Plus, the Cui Unit is already up and running & I'm just recruiting for it.

Google these:

Tune XP 1.5 (then check out the link here - http://gear.ign.com/articles/626/626714p5.html)

Crap Cleaner

Ad-Aware

Spyware S&D

Spyware Blaster

GameGain

(faster gaming)

Also, you might want to disable all non-Windows system services and startup items.. you can always enable them later on.

Spybot S&D

You can find Spybot and Ad-Aware on www.computeractive.co.uk

If by Crap Cleaner you mean CCleaner, then it can also be found on the Computer Active site, and www.pcworld.com.

GameGain can be found on PC World.

I can't find Spyware Blaster anywhere though.

----------

I don't suppose you play GW in this clan?

And welcome back!

I have GW, but I don't play it that often & I'm not sure if anyone in the clan has it either. I'll look into getting sub-clans, stuff like that, etc.

I use Xfire btw. Name is: Devirecui

Do you think PCThrust, GameThrust, GameThrust, etc. are worth downloading? Or is GameGain good enough?

GameGain sounds really good from what I've read, and so do the other two (PCThrust and GameThrust). GameGain is probably enough, but it wouldn't hurt to have other things that might help too. The only problem you may encounter is one or two of the programs conflicting with the other.

I started really playing CS with source, I rarely played 1.6, only with friends. After a while it's going to be tweaked to 1.6 standards and once all the cal teams switch over then that'll be that for 1.6. Can't last forever...
