How do u had a 1x1 border in PS?

Select the entire image and Edit > Stroke 1 pixel inside. Before you stroke it, be sure to chose which color you want it to be. Black is a good choice.

Zoom in to 1600%, then drag the rec. marquee tool from the top left corner to the bottom right corner.

btw besure that the layer is not bigger than the actual image because the stroke will be inside the layer not the actual image

easier method > just select pencil select 1 pix or smallest option... zoom in... and click + shift and do all four sides... works like a charm

just a border for anothing? just get your selection and do the stroke like Bezier said. To get a layer selection, hold Shift +CLICK(layer)

on the right side of your screen, in the layer menu ctrl + click the layer u want borderd'd, than go to edit > stroke.. its relaly easy guys come on
