Id say you should. Its a great system. And the disks are small, comapct and kickass.

That seems like a disadvantge for those who are like me, i tend to lose things quite often, even regular sized cd's. Ive heard there are quite a few games on GameCube but i also have heard its a gay childs system. Im obviously not to well informed so im not really sure what to believe, can someone who has one list some advantages and disadvantages over lets say the Xbox and ps2?

Yes gamecubes are great. If you do get one I recomend phantasy star online. One of the greatest rpgs I ever played. If you go online you can have help from people around the world.

The people that say its a child's system probably don't own one, you know. Gamecube has *quality* games that will last you a long time, are very very fun, and rarely get boring. Xbox has 1, maybe 2 games worth it. And PS2 is the RPG console. It has *lots* and lots of rpgs, and alot of good ones too. You pick. If you want Xbox games just get the PC version, they'll work better and you'll have a mouse and keyboard as well. Not to mention a PC owns the consoles anyways xD

Well ps2 also has a lot of sport games like madden and other ones. Also like Tai said theres rpgs.

First off, Black and white is the sorriest game ive ever played in my entire life. And yes, you can play as satan. Also, cable IS broadband. Both are high speed interent connections not relying on phone lines as a means of data transfer.

Tai, i already own an Xbox. I dont see how you can say it has only one or two games... I can name multiple ones if you wish. True the controllers are bulky and highly uncomfortable but a few days of playing on and off you get to the point where controllers dont matter much any more >_<

I dont think my grand parents are gonna spend 400 dollars for a computer but if I had a good job I would buy it.

I'd have to agree that B&W is a very boring and stupid game.

Black and White isnt worth to buy but it can be fun on a rainy day where you would feel like hanging yourself up next to the christmas tree. By playing Black and White you could enjoy beating the shit out of the villager and making them sacrifice their children for you instead of wasting your time trying to figure out a way to break your neck without getting to much pain.
