You can teach them to shit in certain areas it just part of there nature to go any where so it would be hard to change them

also we are all considering diffent types of animals (most probably from previous experinces) like the perfect cat or perfect dog when each individual dog or cat are unique in the own aspect...
i
Like I could think of when I was small this cat always shitted on me when ever I picked it up
or now we have this cat that sticks to himself and does his own thing they are both totally differnt but the same species so it really is too hard to compare

I pick ctas over dors just cuse i used to have 4 cats and 2 dogs, and thou yes i like dogs alot, they where alot of work, now i only have 2 cats, and i love em with everyting.

about the post saying cats dont smell, mmm.... maybe the cat itself dont smell, but unlike dogs when they pop in the house, the dog dont care where it is, weather it be on your bed or in the hall or out in the backyard, but cats on the other hand will not poop out in the open, so sometims i get this horific smell in the house from the cat, i have to go on a treasure hunt to hunt dont the poop and clean it. or it will stick up the house for weeks!!!

dont get me wrong i love both cats and dogs, but i prefer a cat, masicly i see it like this,

Cat = Lazy persons pet
Dog = Active persons pet

if your a lazy bum dont get a dog, its not fair to the dog, dogs need to be taken outside and played with. and ran around alot, thats what dogs like.

they both cost about the same when it comes to shots ect. and they both need the same amount of love (in some cases) i mean example of my two cats Monkey (The dark one) loves people and will cuddle and everyting, she loves people, she even takes on traits of a dog sometimes. and my other cat Rycker (Light one) dont like ppl as much and takes on the traits of a can better then monkey,

basicly i think you can have a cat that takes on meny traits of a dog. and same with a dog that taks traits of a cat (Rare).

Longer story short. Cats rule and dogs drool! lol

I hate cats because they are underhand.
They comes to you to get food, sometimes when they want some cherish.
The rest of their life, they just ignore you.

I use to say that cat is an human parasite.

Cats are better cause you don't have to do much with em if you don't want to.

And whats this bs about a cat ignoring you? I trained my cat to look in my general direction if I say it's name!

like kida have said before whom i totally agree with, cats are for the lazy kinds of people and dogs are for people with a more active life style, so there isnt really a real answer to the whole 'which is the best pet' thing.
