So the people who post 20 times a day would get no extra benefit beyond the first 4 posts?

If you get more points for more posts, then the system is easy to abuse, which was the problem with past systems that were implemented. By basing it on activity, it's nigh on impossible to abuse.

Exactly. I was pretty specific about that with my idea. It needs to be based on activity, rather than posts, because activity requires consistent posting rather than spamming a lot at once.

You could have it decrease over time, like activity, if not posting for days on end after a constant spam. Or, you could make it impossible to "level" without the four posts a day but you can gain "experience" from a post more than 1 sentence long.
