Longevity shouldn't be the case here. Seriously, that's for staff IMO. I would just like the, as Tyrannicide said, 'normal' memebers have a chance to step up and have their opinion heard on higher ground. I don't care about member/senior member stuff, it is basically just a title. Anyone who has a decent reputation.

Grav's was too elaborate, and was biased by far. I believe that WW once mentioned the advisor title was there, but never put into use.

Elaborate? For fucks sake it was reduced to a bar that was based on popularity, nothing more. By the end it had been rehashed so many times it had just lost about all support. As uncapped said, don't beg for a fucking spot, those that are deemed worthy will be given the spot. That's if it's implemented.
