I download as much illegal music as I can, and I don't care if it hurts the recording industry or the artists. Even if all artists stop making music right now, it wouldn't matter. It's pretty obvious that every possible melody for a song has been already done, and artists are just going to write some half-assed shit from now on just to make some quick cash (aka Raziel).

This would explain why rap is now one of the more popular genres of music, as all it needs is a few beats and an idiot pulling words out of his ass. Every possible melody was used up 10 years ago. This is akin to The Simpsons recently. All possible jokes have already been done. IT SUCKS NOW.

well another reason i dont think many people realize, is the cost of a CD. God damn those are expensive. Thank God for Best Buy or i wouldnt buy any at all. Plus i stopped buying when i would buy a CD and there is only one or two good songs on there. Its a waste of money to me. However, downloading free is stealing. So i just pay the 99 cents a song and get my favs. Much better that way and there is no chance of me getting arrested.

Mydog... Your a dork, do you know how much money they make off of those Cds? Just think, when they buy is MASSIVE BULKS of CDs that when they are imprinted with the material from the artist that it only costs them fractions of a dollar for each cd, I'm guessing around 20 cents per cd, and Most of the artist's money comes from performances, commercials, etc.

Yeah, mostly I download individual songs...but for a band which I really enjoy, I would rather buy the CD.

You know how life works, dude? You get a job, you earn money, and then you get to have the things you want. If you don't have the money to purchase the things you want, you don't get to have the things you want.

haha! what the fuck. I didnt say ANYTHING about the artists or what they make. i said that CDs are so expensive, that people looked for alternative ways to get music (I.E. "sharing" MP3's). And my god... can you make a sentence that makes even the slightest bit of sense? "when they buy is MASSIVE BULKS..." what the fuck?

on another note, i dont need shit from a dumbass like you.
