Well, the majority of the time the few people we don't want here will feel it and leave. I've said before, we cant expect all new members to stay. but if 20-30% of new members do stay, we'll be doing good.

Banner ads show up on every page on nuklearpower.com, including the comics.

Yeah, but are there separate charges for separate places? Or is it one flat fee to have it show up everywhere?

Probably the "show up everywhere" one...

Personally, I'd rather spend the money on different things, whether it be some kind of software or a faster server. It really depends on what we could find neccesary.

If anyone would have any idea on what could benefit the board (even if it costs money), feel free to post it in this thread, or PM me. HiveMail is one thing, but of course, $180 for it is a fair lot.

Then what IS worth it? If we're not planning to spend it all on advertising, then I could appreciate to get some help to improve the board. Search engine rankings shouldn't really be neccesary.

I really don't like the idea. What's the point in PAYING for members? We get plenty of new ones every day anyway, they just don't stay. We need to spend the money on something that will hook the members, not bring them.
