Okay so tell me where 5509 SEVILLE LANE, MONTYOMERY, AL 36116 is.

And tell me if it's in a flood zone or not: http://store.msc.fema.gov/webapp/wcs...irmCatId=12009

1. Select a State, District or Territory: ALABAMA
FEMA ID: 01 To order state kits, please contact customer service at (800) 358-9616.

2. Select a County, Parish etc: MONTGOMERY COUNTY
FEMA ID: 01101 GET COUNTY KIT

3. Select a Community: MONTGOMERY ALL JURISDICTIONS
FEMA ID: 01101C GET COMMUNITY KIT GET DFIRM KIT

4. Find FEMA issued Flood Maps!

* designates unincorporated areas

Well, that's a lot of use.

I'm guessing that the answer to wether it is in a Flood Zone or not is...a definite maybe...

The street's too new to be on the city or county maps. Since the houses on the street are not constructed yet, the county tax assessor has no record of the street.

It's in a new subdivision off of Taylor Road just north of Troy Highway 231.

It's not on a Montgomery County FEMA map. It's on a Montgomery City FEMA map--panel 01101C0162G to be precise. It's in a zone CX which is not a special flood hazard area.

Not in a flood zone.

I'd tell you if I didn't have to pay for the maps.

Weird. The only way I can seem to look at an actual map would be if I paid FEMA for it, which I am certainly not doing.

It's all pretty simple. They even number the steps for you.

1) Select a State, District or Territory:
AL

2) Select a County, Parish, etc:
MONTGOMERY COUNTY

3) Select a Community:
MONTGOMERY,CTY

4) Find FEMA issued Flood Maps!

Step 4 is a link.

Then you click the view dot:
next to the map you want to look at.
