If a girl is asking for or expecting free shit, she is in the wrong.

If a guy is just giving a girl free shit and she's taking it, she's not doing anything wrong.

I guess it's just a matter of etiquette and guys generally expect some form of reciprocation like what klo said. I'm not saying that girls should blow guys for buying them drinks but a "Thank you" really would not degrade them.
