Why do British people say "arse" instead of ass? It sounds like you're trying to get past a naughty word filter or trying not to offend anyone, like saying sh!t instead of shit. Arse sounds stupid. Ass sounds bold and refreshing!

Over here "arse" is the bad word...ass is just something you say when trying to sound stupid.

And how in God's name are we supposed to say "sh!t"?! Since when have exclamation marks been pronounced and not felt?!

! is pronounced as a click. Like those ethiopian dudes from that one episode in southpark.

So sh!t would be pronouced:

Sh-click-t

Oh, I'm talking in the online world...I know the "r" in arse is sorta silent when spoken in British/Australian.

Basically I just want someone to die.

It isn't silent.

It's like "are" with an s on the end.
