Aparrently, the Yellowstone volcano is about 30,000 years overdue, and last time they know that errupted, it was about.......think of it this way. If the erruption of Mt. St. Helens were a golf ball, Yellowstone would be a very large ball you could park a car behind, or something like that.

It's going to make Krakatoa look like pop rocks in root beer. If/When yellowstone goes off, america will be forever scarred with a what, 50+ mile crater where yellowstone was?

Shouldnt happen anytime soon though.... and hopefully by the time it is about to happen, we'd have means to help reduce the pressure.
