can't get to c:\

Too many diff ways to get there:

run command prompt and type "explorer" and enter then change address to c:\


Install winrar and it directly takes you to program files, from there u can go back to c:

the possibilities are endless......they do that shit in my school but i figured out how to get to it thx to bluecube so its all good

ok, i'll give you some more info if that'll help.

i cannot:
-access my documents
-access c:
-access command prompt
-install anything

i've tried:
-using IE, entering c: (gets restricted message)
-using windows explorer, entering c: (gets restricted message)
-using a shortcut to c: (gets restricted message)
-using windows help (gets restricted message)

i can get to the part where i can allow/deny things, but all the "allows" are blanked out. any way to get around this, short of acquiring an admin account? that's pretty impossible, seeing as how only the IT people have them. teacher accounts don't have access like that.

Do you have access to the PC itself? Meaning can you put a floppy in it and boot to it? There is a pretty nifty utility that can change the local administrator account passwords. Read and learn young one:
