Well, this should be interesting.

1.4 GHz, 256 MB ram, GeForce 2 MX-400 (32 mb). It runs Far Cry. Care to guess whether or not it will even start Doom 3?

Just bought it and it runs decent on medium quality. Choppy at times but overall pretty smooth. This game is scary as a bitch though.

Don't even try. I'm running on 64 megs. IT WORKS IT WORKS IT WORKS!!! Its choppy nearly 24/7, but nowhere near the point that it would get annoying. THe only time I lagged was when 3 zombies, out of nowhere, decided to jump me. Shortly after their heads were plastered ala shotgun shells to the wall. Holy fuck. I agree with zeal. This game is pretty scary. Much of it is anticipation as well. Those corners can yield many suprises...

Alas, lag was my doom. Out of nowhere, from a place I had just cleaned out, a zombie attacked me from behind. The one second lag was enough for him to deal the fatal blow. The death scene is pretty cool, how it just fades out.

Just...wow..

I think the minimum bearable CPU speed recommended was 1.7 Ghz.

I think it was 1.5 ghz

anyway, I just played this game and even though its at 640x480 with lowest quality, it still looked great! The suspense is awesome I really like the way they scare you with all those monster just appearing out of nowhere and then when your screen suddenly turns red, and well I'm not going to spoil it. GG

Yeah, that was part of the first ones, too; there were always monsters appearing from portals when you'd enter certain rooms.

****Contains Gameplay Spoiler****
Well i said id be back once i played it.
so here i am, the game runs perfitly fine on my system with med settings.

i dident buy the game, i downloaded it, (some ppl may think im lame for this) but oh well, here in Canada - the game costs 80$ with tax, 80$ i dont have so. i DL games, anyway....

Doom3 is scarry as %#&$ , like omg! had me jump and or screem a few times.
like when you enter the bathroom for the second time (after everything goes wrong) and the screen goes red and you see yourself all weard looking...

*crys* this game = too scarey, i can barely play it cues of the scare factor.

YOU FOOL.

You do NOT play doom 3 with the sounds off. Or with your lights on... or with your door open for that matter.
