I had mine out about 9 months ago, and I was literally eating pizza in two days. I had no swelling, no real pain. Then again, I only had two taken out, and they were only partially impacted.
Oh, and I wasn't numbed, I was knocked the fuck out! That is definitely the way to go, anesthesiology.

Same for me. The doc was like "alright I'm puttin the IV in now... *out* good stuff. Woke up 20 minutes later, went home, took a nap, changed my gauze afterwards, and that was the only time my mouth bled.
So this baby seal walks into a club.
