Subscript is the little number on the bottom right of things like x and y. Looks like the opposite of something squared, or cubed.

There are most definitely people that know calculus on this forum. But, nobody is interested in doing your homework for you.

The subscript is probably used for coordinates in this case.. like for the standard slope function (x2-x1)/(y2-y1), if I remember correctly..

What the fuck are you even trying to say there Shinto? Are you expressing y as a function of x, x2, and x3, which is the same function squared of x2 and x3 plus 1? Honestly, that notation is shit...

Are you asking for the impulse function or something (Which is what h(x) is usually denoted by)?

So, do you want us to solve for x, x1, and x2 given those equations?

Heh, its just weird because you are giving random equations with a few variables. BTW, why didn't you just name x2 = y, and x3 = z so you don't have to have all the subscript text...?

Ya...

You really didn't specify what you wanted solved...

You didn't specify what you intended by Xsub2 and Xsub3. If they are different positions of X, you could have stated as much. If they are different variables, I would have used A, B, and C.

Besides, that's not even particularly calculus from what I can tell... What portion of that categorizes it as a calculus problem?

Here is an example of a calculus problem.

Solve the following:
Double Integral of (e^((2y-x)/(y+2x))dydx) over the region bounded by the points (1,0) (4,0) (0,2) and (0,8) [which is a trapezoid].

Ugh, that exponential is a major pain in the ass to integrate... I started doing this problem, then just said fuck it after integrating it with respect to y. Firstly, that first integral sucks, and secondly, the resulting integral with repsect to x, is an even bigger pain in my integration by parts ass.

I had these types of problems like 4 or 5 terms ago, so I'm not exactly sure if I set it up properly. After plotting the trapezoid, I set up the limits of integration as 0 to 4 with dx, and (-2x+2) to (-2x+8) with dy. I think thats correct, but the actual integration, as stated above, is a little more intensive than I wish to do on my free time, hah!

Maybe later I'll finish the second integral...
