What is the best race

As everybody who reads thsi forum should know there are 3 main races in starcraft brood war. The protoss, the zerg and teh terran's. they all have advantages but which one do you guys think has the most advantage. Wich race do you guys think is the best of teh best.

I think protoss is. They have the ability to wipe otu massive numbers of units with their psi storm and reaver scarabs. There units are all powerful and lets not deny this, their tech is pretty damn cool.

This debate could go on forever, but I've gotta agree with you that Protoss(imo) is the best race. Although, Terran kicks ass if you know how to use them correctly.

I think protoss are better. They are just more powerful than any other race, and once you get to brood wars with dark archons if u ever use mind control then u could have toss terran and zerg all at once...so...yea protoss.

And dotn forget arbiters! but remember when choosing the race people, the protoss are very very expensive. So maybe for some maps they are not the best race for others they are. Take blood bath for example. Very VERY Small. Bad expansions if you ask me. Spending massive ammounts of resources here might not be such a good idea. But on a map such as killing fields, which is damn well near impossible to deplete of resources, maybe these resource rich units will be the best. Think about it.

Zerg, they only got 1 weakness really. They are hard to control! Once someone can get over with that problem they can own.

Nothing can match the power of the Swarm !

The power of the swarm falls to the power of the storm, psi storm and malestrom. Freeze the zerg right in their tracks and then storm them. They have a huge weakness. I dont think they could ever become the best race without some better protection from these types of attacks.

lol good luck freezing/maelstormin/psi stormin a shit load Of fully upgraded, faster move/attack zerglings. You can kill about 25% of them, but by then... You're already dead.

Wat are you talking about. Send in goons to engage the lings. Freeze the lings. They will block a choke if thats where you are. Otherwise the lings will keep on attacking those dragoons. Keep on malestroming. Then use reavers instead of psi storm. no strat is set in stone.

lings are too fast for reavers/dragoons. U can only freeze so many.

What are you talking about. If the lings are attacking the dragoons, you freeze the lings around the dragoons. They will auto attack teh closest unit. The goons will be that unit. Youd have to directly attack the reavers and archons, which is a stupid idea, because htose lings can still be easily annihilated by the reavers splash. Im not saying 4 goons and 4 reavers, and 4 da's up against 100 lings. Im saying a good protoss army vs 100 lings. No chance zerg would win.

A good Zerg player will be able to up 3-5 attacks at the same time in diff. location 1 or 2 of them being diversion. The power of the swarm cannot be stoped. When the swarm attack a few area at the same time and manage to pierce in the base the game is over.

Early Zerg swarms are hard to deal with, so at times, it becomes more interesting with a large map.

Guys, zerg owns all. First off, to deal with your goon problem, id just toss up a DarkSwarn and drop a few lurkers by the goons and bam, you dead. While my mutalisks and guards flt into your ase and wreak havoc my hydras would gcome frm the opposite direction. There are very few that can defeat me when im using any 3 of the races.

Goons/zeals/DTs/archons back up with storm is pretty hard to beat, especially with zerg. Terran, on the other hand, will most always defeat protoss ground.

Zerg > all.. easily

Keep the pressure on in the beggining, and they cannot afford to tech, simple as that.

Keep 12 lings outside toss base, wait for them to send out the usual 10 lot rush, dt rush, whatever they feel like doing 7/10 (expirienced players included) they leave their base open, or forget to hold possition their wall.

Run in, nexus is gone...

Keep pressure on in the beggining, speed lings > lots with micro, tech lurkers, slowly push your way in, drop, tech guardians because you have the entire map, and they are trapped inside.

Easy? No, VERY hard to do, zerg is the hardest race to play, imo, basically becuase you can only queue up 3 units (thats how i like to think of it) instead of 5, you have to have REALLY good macro to pump with zerg.

<----- Terrans Obviously imho. We all know that troops in bunkers some pretty good defense and with scvs around to repair and medics to heal them, they pack a punch. Then theres at arclite shock cannon. No matter how much you Broodling, Statis them, they're not overly expensive and they keep on coming to annoy. With some good range and fierce power, they cripple just about anything. Those two backbone units along with support of vulture mines, ghost lock downs, instant detection...they can truly wreck havoc if well played. Yes, although they do have many weaknesses, each can be overcomed due to each unit having their own personal special ability to make sure that every resource used, is well spent.

You cannot stop the zerg when they attack from everywhere

Just like `Insolence` said Zerg own all but they are the hardest race to play.

...*cough Firebats own Lings cough* ...Dark Swarm protects your hydras until the firebats stimmed go in. Then not even your lings will stand a chance. Toss in some medics and there goes the ultras too =D. Mwa ha ha, like I said, bring in the support units!
