Post Round 2! Mega Man X vs. Rikimaru

Posted 2003-10-17, 01:25 AM
Arena: Black Cloud Industries

In the Red Corner, the bubble-helmeted Maverick Hunter, the Blue Bomber, from Mega Man X: Mega Man X!!!

And in the Blue Corner, the physical embodiment of silence, darkness with a blade, from Tenchu: Stealth Assassins: Rikimaru!!!

The boiler fires light the industrial complex with an eeire, orange light. Sparks fly from the giant gears grinding overhead. The darkness is pierced by the flash of the firelight off of X's Force Armor. The eyes of the ever-watchful ninja examine his steel surroundings from the shadows. The battle begins. Will blood spill? Or will it be oil?

Look at the previous battles.

Psh, anyway, a highly skilled ninja VS a robot boy with blue armor and a few guns and skills? No way Mega Nerd would win.

Actualy i think it would be highly possible if *Mega Nerd* Would destroy many of the access to him removing any kind of suprise attack that could come from Mr.Ninja.

It doesn't matter, Rikimaru is a ninja, very fast, Mega Man wouldn't have a chance, he wouldn't even see his death coming.

Have you seen X in his Shadow Armor? He can then stick to ceiling, step on spikes without taking any damage, etc. Also, he can use a saber as well with that armor.(He doesn't have to use the Force Armor right?)

I pick the Shadow Armor because it will turn X to a ninja sort of robot, making this match more fun. Beside the abilities to walk on spikes and stick to ceiling, X's movement will be also a lot faster. He fires shuriken, or ninja star, instead of his usual energy shot, and uses a Cresent (Energy) Sword attack when charged up.

With Shadow Armor, X can equip 4 parts and 1 limited part to further power up it. The four parts:

Speedster - Increase X's walking speed, (which will be quite fast combined with Shadow Armor) and the speed allows for longer jumps.
Quick Charge - Charging takes only half the time.
Rapid 5 - Let X to shoot at a faster rate. Normally, 5 shots per screen, but when combined with Speed Shot...
Speed Shot - Further increase the shooting rate by 1.5

For the limited part:
Overdrive - For a limited amount of time, X can rapidly fire Charged Buster Shot, regardless of armor.

It is X6.

I am sure that X can detect Rikimaru (with some sort of Radar.) Stealth Killing doesn't work on this match, because X will always be on guard. (In Tenchu, you can't stealth someone if he's hostile...)

I am not too sure how much damage Rikimaru could deal to X with the sword...He might have to depend more on Grenades and sticky bombs, et cetera.

I don't even see why it's an issue. If Megaman has everything available to him in all games, then he would completely overwhelm Rikimaru. I'm going to guess there are 20+ Megaman games giving him 160+ weapons to choose from, four sub-tanks, and lots of upgrades(including body shield, life regeneration, effective double and triple jump, dog armor, fly armor, invul-to-spike armor, punch-down-walls armor, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc). He has a beam sabre (which does half-life to any boss).

Due to the sheer amount of firepower, durability, and flexibility of Megaman, Rikimaru has no hope.

In some game his standard armor is diff. making it incompatible whit some of the games. Not to mention 160 weapons ? He doesnt have space on his suit to put that many equipment. Ever tried to plug 15 toaster in whit only 2 plugs ? That just make no sense. And from what i remember he cannot change of armor in stage.

But yeah X would def. Destroy Rikimaru.

He has all the weapons because he has a menu screen. There is no other explination as the armor changes color as well when you change weapons.

Don't post this, go rent games and play them. Experience is the best research.

He doesn't have acces to all of his abilities. X and mega Man are two completely different, unrelated characters. The Mega Man we are discussing only has access to the weaponry from the Mega Man X games. So, he has about seven games to draw from, not twenty.

Actually i was reading up on the mega man past. Apparently Mega Man X was the original Mega Man. Dr Light had stashed him away in a capsule for 30 years for diagnostics to be run on him. Unfourtunatly Dr Light died before mega's diagnostics were done. Dr. Kain found him in an abandoned warehouse and modified him. So i THINK , based on this one website, that mega will have acess to all the weapons. Besides if youve ever seen the short lived mega man anime (i have them on tape), when x comes back in time to stop vile and spark madrel, he tells Dr. Light and Mega man, "i cant believe that this is where i was built."

It's not the same robot. I remember distinctly. The two don't even exist in the same continuity. X was a reploid that was programmed to emote and to think individually unlike other robots. He was held in stasis for a number of years, and was discovered eventually. I can't remember if the other reploids were copies of X or if they already existed by the time he was reactivated. One way or another, it's not the same robot. His name isn't even technically Mega Man, his name is X.
