Ruthlessness, definitely but with a sense of humor. The Kurgan in the original Highlander film comes to mind.

I like super hero villans...I mean come on some guy that can always pwn this guy w/ great powers and only be an ordinary guy...I think the only super hero that I know of that was the opposite of that was Batman...(Joker,Catwomen, and Two Face were my favoret)

Bah i also think shinzon from star trek:nemesis was good. He had a kickass reman warbird that could fire while cloaked. Gave teh Sovereign class enterprise a good fight. He got wasted though
