Post Online Play

the modem and broadband adapters come out september 15th. so far the only announced game is phantasy star online, but i have a feeling that timesplitters 2 will be online as well. the reason for this is its 2 week delay from september 28 to october 15. also the ps2 version of this game has online features. post what you think!

Timesplitters has supposedly tooken out it's online features for the ps2 (says IGN) but it may have an unofficial online play (like halo for the xbox) that will allow it to still be played online...

like halo isn't actually supposed to allow online play, but it is possible because of the option to play over an I-link cable (hook a network wire there and you can play online)
but I am not sure if they are going to go through and take it out seems that is it's biggest seller...

and IGN has been known to misreport things

I could really care less. Playing console games online has always seemed a little stupid to me. I'll give it a chance, but foul memories of XBand still taint my opinion of online console gaming.

you really are giving it an ill-fate before you try it ps2 online is great, and as soon as the HDD (hard drive) comes out for it will be just as good as the comp. I personally like it because my comp can't handle a lot of the new games but my ps2 will get the games, like Star wars galaxies

I've just never been a fan of online gaming in the first place, especially with consoles. Like I said, I'll give it a chance, but I'm willing to bet that my opinion won't change very much.
