Any of you ppl know how to get rid of root rot in a hydroponic environment off of pineapple roots w/out harming the plant? i heard that hydrogen peroxide is supposed to help. any other ideas?
Wikipedia talks about Hydrogen Peroxide being used, but what I've managed to pick up from other articles from Google (the majority about growing your own Marijuana crop) is that more oxygen is needed for the root - the root rot, (or Pythium? You'll know more than I), occurs in anaerobic conditions because the roots can't get enough oxygen --> for example, cold places.
geez, no wonder, i just stuck the tops in a jar of water and changed the water every once in a while. no wonder it started growing root rot. ill go ahead and try the peroxide stuff and hopefully it will go away btw, how much do i put in?
edit: it worked! i put in a capful of it and it's gone by the morning! now i just have to figure out how much exactly and how often.
