The Rules
Every other forum on Zelaron has its own accepted rules of conduct. This is just the RPG Maker section's version. Since this is more of a support/advice forum, and for a very specific program, the rules here are a bit different than those in, say, the Chat Forum.
----------------------
Use descriptive titles. A title of "RPG Maker Problem" doesn't help much, and makes most people skip over it. A better title would be something such as "My charset won't align properly!" This also helps people see if a thread has been posted recently about that same question.
----------------------
New Question, New Thread. If you suddenly think of something totally different from the orignal question, please post a new thread about it, with a descriptive title. Also, if you have more than one question, feel free to post multiple threads, one for each question. As long as the questions aren't in the FAQ, there's nothing wrong with posting three threads in three minutes, as long as they conform to the other rules.
----------------------
Got an error? Post the whole thing. There is no way anyone can figure out what caused "an error that happened when I started RM2k3". Post a screenshot, and say exactly when that error occurred. Were you testing a battle, just starting a game, or did you just activate an event?
----------------------
Got a request? Give all the details. If you post something like "Hey guys could you make a cool character set" I'm just going to post the Alex charset and close the thread. If you have a request, post what you're looking for - that's the whole point! Be exact with this, because it's annoying otherwise - especially when you have to say something like "well, that's not what I was looking for". You just wasted someone's time, and that's just rude.
----------------------
Get the latest version before asking for coding help. If you're using an old version of RM2k3, you're going to be the victim of bugs that were already fixed ages ago. Upgrade before asking for help.
----------------------
State which version you're using. A lot of things are done differently in RM2K3 and RMXP. It really does help us to help you if you say which version of RPGMaker you are using in your first post.
