Summer Tip: Don't sleep with the air conditioner constantly on

Apparently, I'm starting to get pneumonia. That's apparently how my grandfather died - sleeping with the air conditioner on, got pneumonia, and died. Feels like my lung capacity got cut in half.

So, uh.. yeah, be careful about that. The modern air conditioner - friend or foe? Discuss.

I turn my air conditioner on in my room when I sleep only.

I keep the air conditioner on all night at like 65 degrees...doesn't really bother me...

Oh sure, it doesn't bother you now, but when you wake up and wonder why the heck your chest is hurting and you can't breathe as well as you usually do, you'll scream CURSE YOU AIR CONDITIONER!!! and post in this thread again, wishing you would have heeded my words.

Normally I have it on, doesn't bother me at all. Sometimes my dad turns it off, maybe cuz he has trouble breathing. Oh well.

My air conditioner is energy star.

The extreme temperature change with the AC constantly bumping will definitely cause your sore to be raw and extremely sore too. Conspiracy!

I woke up one morning (it is right above my head and stuff) and my throat was incredibly dry, and my lungs hurt. I had a terrible cold for a week, and missed three days of school, because I couldn't do many things like walk, breathe well, or THINK.

I exaggerated the fuck out of that, but yeah.

Actually, not being able to think well is a symptom of pretty serious pneumonia.. not much of an exaggeration..

No AC for me. I just use a fan blasting full force on my bed.

it gets so hot when your in bed so it is really hard not to turn on the ac.......
