I agree, like I said it helps, but if you gave me a pencil and told me to draw, you will get a smiley face and thats it. If I put my time into it, I can make some great art on computer. My step-dad has been drawing/painting forever, and he learns quicker than me, but doesnt mean you have ot know how to draw.

ya... for 3d... drawing is basically practicing your anatomy (which you can learn with 3d anyway) and using your drawings as a reference but we can always hire concept artists to do that... i myself can draw reasonably well (among the general 3d public, not professional concept artists) so i don't have to waste money on concept artists

Actually, I do. If an artist can do what someone does with a 3d program, without the tools they used, they'll be much much more capable when they DO use the tools they used. *shrugs* I don't exactly peg alot or any of the people here as artists.

tablet is a thing you plug into your computer it's like a pad thing and you get a pen so it's easier to use the mouse to draw... it makes it feel like a real pen/pencil... like a palm
