I'm Banned???

My first ban in 4 years...

Apparently for "Fucking spamming". It finishes in ten hours.

I have to say, I'm intrigued as to why you are still able to post in the Test Forum, and in the chatbox. Just for me, post in the WRT, I want to see if it works.

It's because it's only a 'Temp ban'. It was changed a while back, along with the forum upgarde i'm pretty sure.

I don't know... anyone who is banned can post in TTTS, which is a forum that doesn't add to postcount. The same seems to apply for the Test Forum and also the WRT, which are both forums that don't count towards postcount.

what if one hides his post count, would that still count towards being able to post in any thread as it wouldnt add to your post count?

Actually, I was IP banned as well. And even before then I couldn't post at all, anywhere.

Nope. Hiding your post count does only that - it hides it from the eyes of others. It still goes up by one every time you post.

I just chatbox banned him. I came online earlier and he has went spam crazy in it. He was still able to view and post on the forums just fine.

I kinda agree. I didn't think that the rules applied to the chatbox. In fact, I do believe that if they do, like six of us should have been banned during the Kazilla bullshits.

I was probably half asleep when I did that. I barely remember doing it. Either way, I only banned you from the chatbox itself, not the forums. I believe a 1 day temp-ban from the chatbox has been the norm for spamming in it, but my memory sucks lately.

However, in the process of looking back for when you had spammed, I saw like two or three other occasions where other people had spammed just as bad as you. It does seem somewhat unfair that you're the only one that got targetted for it, simply because you were unlucky enough to do it when a half-asleep mod popped onto the forums. You probably didn't even deserve the ban anyway.
