If you were going to get a ride from a friend, and notice that his car did NOT have passenger side airbags, would that make you change your mind about riding?

What reason is there to change your mind?? Unless he hits something really fast and your seatbelt doesn't work then you're not exactly gonna kill yourself are you??

So no.

No, I didn't need an airbag when I flipped my Toyota Camry on the freeway at 80+MPH... Many, many, many times. My seatbelt was the reason why I came out alive and only with one tiny scratch that barely drew blood on my knee.

Maybe tonight we'll fly so far away... We'll be lost before the dawn...

My friends have wrecked a million times when i'm with them... seatbelts are very important. I've never wrecked in a car with side airbags so I don't know what it would be like in the first place.

Seatbelts really help a lot more than airbags. I hardly ever get shotgun either, so I've got the seat in front of me to stop me even though I'll have my seatbelt on anyways.

ERm...... Passenger side airbag meaning the passenger side of the car.....

Like the driver side airbag is in the wheel, and the passenger side airbag is in the dash..

I didn't mean the airbag's that deploy from the door to protect the passengers side...

My car is from '68 so it doesn't even have airbags at all.

That's what I thought we were talkign about also... but still, I really don't find airbags to be important. A month ago another car hit my friends car in a head on collision at 40 ish.... I was fine and there was no airbag. The other guy was probably going 40-50 so thats like htiting a brick wall at 90 miles an hour.

The passengar airbags in my car saved one of my friends from serious injuries. And while the lack of them wouldn't make me not accept a ride, it's something I would want in a car I was thinking about purchasing.

I thought airbags caused more injuries than they prevented, maybe I'm wrong.
