Probably won't make it to stores until 2006, but it looks like it is worth the wait, and seems to be an alternative to the PSP and DS.

I thought it was an April Fool's thing, but it may not be.

It is. If you search "gPod" in google, you get a bunch of sites using the same or similar press release, but at the end they say "April Fools".

Eh, oh well.

The fake mockups definitly looked pretty cool.
