Well guessing i'm the PSP's bitch, I'll answer.
If you want a gameboy like system, get the DS. You will also recieve about 50 gameboy like games.
When you order the PSP bundle pack or whatever for 250, you will get a 32meg DUO card for saving your games, and putting whatever you want on to them. Headphones (with remote control), battery pack, ac adaptor, soft case and cleaning cloth, movie/music/game video sampler UMD disc including multiple non-interactive game demo.
What the PSP can do.
Wireless gameplay. Simliar to the DS the PSP will have short-range wi-fi gaming built into it's games, with most EA titles, NFSP:Rivals, Football, Basketball, even the ATV games are capable. You can ALSO connect to an access point (or a wi-fi hotspot) and game online against your friends from anywhere. It uses popular 802.11g wireless.

And here is just alot of general info on the hardware side of the PSP. I mean I don't really see how you can go wrong with the PSP, with a Memory card upgrade, (or use jumpdrive, which are cheap) you can watch movies on this (UMD Format) Play almost any type of music, and play kick-ass games while online longranged or short.
