What can a PSP do that DS can not? What can a DS do that a PSP can not?

I know the basic DS layout, its pretty fun, but what about PSP?

Is PSP really worth my 250$?, when i can just pay 150-175 for a DS?

Well guessing i'm the PSP's bitch, I'll answer.

If you want a gameboy like system, get the DS. You will also recieve about 50 gameboy like games.

When you order the PSP bundle pack or whatever for 250, you will get a 32meg DUO card for saving your games, and putting whatever you want on to them. Headphones (with remote control), battery pack, ac adaptor, soft case and cleaning cloth, movie/music/game video sampler UMD disc including multiple non-interactive game demo.

What the PSP can do.

Wireless gameplay. Simliar to the DS the PSP will have short-range wi-fi gaming built into it's games, with most EA titles, NFSP:Rivals, Football, Basketball, even the ATV games are capable. You can ALSO connect to an access point (or a wi-fi hotspot) and game online against your friends from anywhere. It uses popular 802.11g wireless.

And here is just alot of general info on the hardware side of the PSP. I mean I don't really see how you can go wrong with the PSP, with a Memory card upgrade, (or use jumpdrive, which are cheap) you can watch movies on this (UMD Format) Play almost any type of music, and play kick-ass games while online longranged or short.

What's teh average cost of the game?

That is the exact thing i am worried about.

At gamestop, in my city, most DS games are 29.99. I can afford fucking 5 at a time, since i get large sums of money about 3 times(4?) a year. If the DS games are 49.99, then i can usually only afford 2-4.

But, nevertheless, im going to try and preorder PSP today, since i suppose my money will be in the mail.

Does a PSP's graphics compare to a PS2's or PS1's?

i am not sure but i think the graphics are comparable to the PS1.

One main point that i think you guys ought to mention to slaynish is that the DS also has some nice features such as the wireless play where only one person has to actually have the game. I am not completely sure how that works but i have seen it done at my school. Also you guys did not even bring up one of the most important downfalls the PSP, and that the DS kicks its ass in. (this is based on information i have from a few months ago i have not checked into it recently, so feel free to correct me PSP Fanboys) From what i have read the PSP batterylife really sucks when compared to the DS. So while you will be able to watch your videos on your PSP if it is only good for approximately two and a half hours (which is what i recall) then you would not be able to play it much while away from a wall outlet. I think the DS had a battery life of something like 8-10 hours.


As i said this is just from info i had from a few months ago so if it is incorrect please correct me.

The Graphics have been compared to a PS2 alot by many people, because it is just that much more than the PS1 graphics.

The average cost per game is (I believe) "$35-50". Which isn't too bad, I can afford them still.

Does PSP "make you wet", d3v?

My computer can do everything a PSP can do, and it has a bigger screen.

Oh, and I think Slaynish already got a DS.
