Wow, I was surprised to not see anyone either bitching about it or making fun of my ass!
My thoughts on the subject:
Sure, it definitely sucks. Yes, we are not the same team without him. And yes, I still know we are going to represent the NFC in the Superbowl.
Not only are we a much better defensive team this year (6 Pro-Bowlers on defense), but our offense is so much more versataille (Sp?). McNabb is playing fantastic, and he even showed it last night, in the one drive he actually played. He threw 3-3, for 30 some yards, and a TD to Mitchell.
Yes, FredEx picked it up and made me extremely happy with that nice endzone grab. He didn't celebrate, and that actually made me even more happy, since he is showing discipline and that he is much more focused now.
The defense has arguably the best secondary in the league yet again, even in the off-season loss of Taylor and Vincent. 3 of our 4 players are Pro-Bowlers, and the other just got Defensive Player of the week last week. Trotter made a huge improvement in our run defense, turning it around from one of the worst in the league to one of the best, in a matter of 6 weeks. Which is the reason he was also chosen to represent the NFC in the Pro-Bowl. Not many people get into the Pro-Bowl with only 6 starts on the season, but when you impact your team like Trotter, you certainly can.
Westbrooke is healthy, which he wasn't last year after we lost him for the playoffs, and McNabb is healthy and confident, which is deadly right now. Pinkston is out to prove himself, and Mitchell already started that process.
Watch out NFC, the Eagles are no joke, and you best not count us out AFC. I have a good feeling TO will be back for the Superbowl, and that can only mean one thing: Victory for the first time in franchise history (Since the Superbowl has been around at least)!
