In order to make it more convenient to talk and trade with offline players or those in faraway lands, there is an in-game mail system. Outside every inn (these are located in all major and most minor cities), there is a mailbox; right-clicking on the mailbox lets you check your mail or send new mail. Players can attach items and money to sent mail, and can also send items Cash on Deliver (COD). The latter option really comes in handy, as it means that you can send someone an item and receive payment for it without ever having to travel to wherever they might be and trade with them in person. Plain mail and money are sent instantly, but items take one hour to arrive in the designated players mailbox. The COD option came in handy when I was selling mechanical squirrels, because as my fame grew I gained interested buyers all across the games world; as I didnt want to travel to where they were most of the time, I simply sent them a squirrel COD and received the payment soon after. This was even more convenient when I had to get materials to make the squirrels, because I placed a standing order for a large quantity of copper bars with a guildmate and asked him to send me the bars as he got them over the course of a couple of days. Rather than going through the hassle of meeting ten times, I just checked my mail whenever I was near an inn. It comes in handy
