Angry Bye Bye RMXP! The graphics can stay though.....

Righto. I have completely given up on RMXP, and am going to revert back to RM2K3. Of course, I'll keep a copy of XP, for educational purposes. What I am gonna do is change ALL the rmxp graphics so they can be used in rm2k3. Of course, this is gonna take a helluva long time. Anyone want to help? Anyone got any tips of how to make this quicker? Anyone who will be wanting some of these graphics when converted to use in their rm2k3 game?

Nah, but gl with it though.

Me, im gonna stick with XP and 2K3. I want to be the master of XP like BC is master of 2k3.

Yea, that sounds great. I might want some graphics of 2k3 later though Lenny.

Pretty much the only thing you'll need to worry about is the chipsets, because the autotiles are separate now, plus RM2k3 separates upper and lower layer tiles.

The charsets are easy enough, just strip the right-most collumn and either combine it with with 7 others or just paste it in the upper-right corner of a 288x256 PNG image.

Those are the only things I can think of right now that would require some work to do..

Characters also need moving around slightly, apart from stripping off first column. Tilesets, yes. Battlers --> Don't even go there Lenny. Icons, unless I cn put them into RM2K3 shops somehow, they can be binned. Most other things just need resizing. Not too big of a job. Tilesets will take a loooong time though.

Question: Once they have been done, does anyone know where there is a place big enough to store them so I and others can download them, without actually going on a site and submitting them in the resources part. If not, then get ready for a lot of Zip files.

Lenny, have you tried a yahoo group, alor of the roms i get from a site are from a yahoo groug, you sign up, then submit them. Then when people want them, they go to your group site, sign up once for your group and download them.
That might work.

Yeah, I see that Enterbrain decided it would be a good idea to switch the placement of the direction frames in XP.

Battlers can be imported in as monsters directly, as far as I've seen..

And you can always use http://www.freewebs.com/ for random file storage.

Thanks. Will try both, and post links to both instead of zip files.
