Unhappy Penguin sucks; needs help
Reply

Ok so I got wc3 ft. I started playing and realized I suck. Now the question is why do I suck, My record for the night was 12 losses 0 wins. And 90% of those games were 3 v 3!. I am not a noob by noob standards, seeing as my ending score is usually average in all departments and i keep up with the number of army and upgrades. So I wanted to know, what the hell am i really doing wrong. The reason I dont think I am a Total noob is because in 3 v 3 games I often am better then one of my partners that are like level 5 and above and my build order is very similar and almost perfect, I creep early like everyone else, i get that second expansion at the right time and alot of times I have a larger army then everyone else. I can honestly chalk up half of the losses due to bad luck (map hacker, spy, people disconnecting, 12 year olds who betray, total, total noobs) all of which I had to deal with in that 12 loss streak, but I shouldent be THAT horrible. The only thing that Might be it is I dont use hot keys at all and that might put be at a slight speed disadvantage but not too much. Anyway, anyone think they can help me out? Maybe if I posted a replay and someone tell me what the hell is making me lose so damn much?

For starters, you're playing TFT; RoC is where it's at.

Err, it all really depends on how you and your teammates function together. You can't go running off by yourselves because you're going to encounter all of the enemy's units all at once by yourself. 3v1.. not good odds. I don't know too much about TFT so I can't really help you there. Any help you need with RoC?

Ewwwwww. I can't stand RoC. I had a 89 game losing streak. Nobody I know has beaten that -.-.

Your major flaw is this, USE YOUR HOTKEYS DAMN IT!!! It helps a LOT when coordinating attacks. It also keeps track of your units, well sorta. If you are being attacked, instead of panicking to select the correct units to go in, you can just press 1, attack, 2 , attack, 3, attack. This way you can quickly mobilize all of your FIGHTING units and get their asses into battle. This way you dont do a mass click of everything you see, and end up sending your acolytes or something into batter.

What race do you play as, maybe I can get on and try to help you somewhat. You're probably better then me at wc3 though. I think in terms of sc when playing that game >_<

I sometimes do too, I'll just go and mass expand and have no units and I'm like, "Wait a tick...."

I agree with Sov, hot keys are really really useful but I do doubt that is the reason you have lost 12 times. Hot keys help you to keep melee chars in front and other things behind. Organization like that should help quite a bit i would think.

IT made a HUGE difference in starcraft, warcraft isn't much different. My win/loss ration went from 1:3 to 3:2 after I started using hotkeys. Iunno, it might also have been that I was playing more and more. But irregardless, you get the point.
