I really don't want to talk about it. We're planning on reinstalling everything over the weekend, and hopefuly we'll be able to limp along untill then with no further problems. Yes, a weeks worth of posts are missing, no I can't do anything about it. Now, for sleep... sleeeeeeeep
Note to self: buy more RAM. Trying to open a 460 mb .sql file in wordpad with 256 mb ram = bad idea.

From what I understand, the server went apeshit and damaged the database. Chruser then had to upload the 460 mb database from his computer to the zelaron server, an get it back up.
You know, this worked out a lot better than I expected. The last time(s?) we had a rollback, all I remember is people bitching and whining about losing posts. There's one thread right now, but it seems light-hearted at least.
I just wanted to say that I really appreciate WW putting the work into getting Zelaron back up. It doesn't matter that we lost posts. The only real losses are the conversations that we probably won't continue now and the time that we could have spent discussing things (spamming *sigh*) when it was down.
Personal thanks and props to WW for his work and dedication.
