Well a recent rumor has surfaced that Square-Enix is indeed working on a FF7-2 which in my opinion can't be a good idea. As much as I'd like to see Cloud and the gang come back for another round, the game ENDED and there's nowhere it can go.

really, that i think would be an interesting thing...although, I hope it doesn't come out like FFX...oh by the way, I'm new, and i just sort of stumbled upon this message board, got interested, and joined! did i ever mention i love penguins!!

That earlier post was a joke, but what is even worse is Dark Cloud, hahahahahahahahahaha, flamer, hahahaha.


In the text it said that the game would take place two years after the events of FF7, but when you beat FF7, after the credits it says something like 1000 years later (I don't remember but it was a large number) and it showed RedXIII
with his two kids, so if you count that as part of the entire game then FF7-2 wouldn't fit into place. A lot of what was said sounded like BULL SHIT any ways, it was all F**KING LIES, there I said it, F**KING LIES, IF it was true - the OPM or PSM magazines would have info on it before some retarded person.
THINK ABOUT IT, and now it's just to late to make a sequal, it wouldn't fit into place.

No can do with a sequel, even if I want to take a shot at it or something. I thought Square-Enix hated doing SEQUELS?!
Look what happened to Chrono Trigger! I'm not saying Chrono Cross is a crappy game, but, it only offered more shadows to what the heck was really happening in that messed-up world, and for some strange reason Guardia, Porre, and some of the more interesting locales of the original were gone, except for some hints (and for the fact that some of the party members you pick up come from there). Now I'm even MORE confused. @.@

Umm, Chrono Cross only happened in a small chunk of the world, not the whole thing. Guardia and Porre are outside of the archipelego.

Chrono Cross was just too damn short, it wasn't as interesting as the first. The world is just so SMALL.

i dont think a FF7-2 would be such a bad idea, i heard that Tifa would be the main character in it and apparently cloud has amnesure or something and is bad in it, i also saw a picture from the front of a japanese magazine that has Tifa kissing some guy, the graphics looked great, i think they're gonna see how FF10-2 goes, then they're gonna relase 12, then depending on how it all goes work on a sequal to 7

I've also heard that FF7-2 might just be a CG movie and not a game.
