Post Fate or Free Will?

Is everything we do already written down in some book? Or are we free to choose are own path in life? I personally say everything is fate. From birth to death, everything is already known to the wide universe and it is impossible to change it. But what do you personally believe in?

I believe that everything that happens leads us to evolutionary ascendancy

Fate. So many strange things have happened to me that I've failed to believe in randomness a long time ago. Programming has proved even more so. Of course, even if life really is set to follow a certain path, we will likely never be able to find the "magic tape/book" or whatever has all of our actions predetermined.

Both... you may decide what you do now, but the decisions you and others make all intertwine and all lead to the same thing. There is a one fate, and everything else that happens leads to it.

It all sounds like witch craft, old folk tales, legends and myths to me, Humans seem to need to believe in things like these to give them some sence of order and direction in life, our brains like to see patterns and categorise so it is only natural to, this is part of how we make decisions and choices from either experience or catagorising, calculating and conclueding a dicision.

I can't believe in such things I don't see how we can be much different from any other living thing, I think every thing has it's place in nature, it's role to play, but not that it's actions are pre-destined.

Every day is new and unexplored and each experience you encounter is your own discovery, and with each experience your brian will make subsequent choices based on prior knowledge of this.

This is how we make our own fate and destiny, some thing can be destined to happen because of a choice you have made based on your knowledge or judgement. Just like a chain reaction, a series of events will take place from every choice you make.
