This is Tactics right? If so, I loved it. I just the FF style of play.

Not a big tactics game fan. I was certainly intrigued by it, but not interested enough to make a purchase. Maybe I'll pick it up once it's released on GBA.

I actually only rented it and beat, but I still enjoyed it. Ever play Legends of Dragoon? Similary style of play.

Legend of Dragoon was awesome, but I can't really see the similarity between it and FF Tactics. LoD was a pretty standard RPG, and FFT was a tactics game. There's a pretty big gap between those two genres.

I meant the style of play. Didn't they both base their movement techniques and battle sequences the same way?

FFT was very good. I'm not a junkie like some other FFT players I know, but I've beaten it a good amount of times.

LoD was horrible in my opinion. It was released the same point in time as Final Fantasy 8, which practically beat it on the head with a shovel.

Another tactics game, Vanguard Bandits, was extremely intriguing to me. Not many liked it, but I loved it.

Ahhhh, Vanguard Bandits! I forgot about that one! It was very very cool!

Yes, LoD was PS1.

Not really. LoD was a standard RPG, meaning that you explored towns, dungeons, the world map, and the battle system was a little more restrictive. FFT was a tactics game, meaning it focused almost entirely on combat, therefore making the battle system a lot more open-ended, but eliminating the "exploration" element entirely.

And LoD was worlds better than FF8. FF8 was a monstrosity, and LoD was a mediocre RPG. At least LoD's plot made sense. FF8 was the most jumbled, incoherent mess I've ever seen.

I actually just meant the way you had a certain amount of squares to move when in combat, and how you had to be placed when attacking and such.

Seeing as LoD was released at the same time as FF8, wouldn't that glorify it? Or are you saying FF8 was better?

I personally don't think FF8 was that good. It was more realistic looking than 7, but lacked a lot, and was very easy to get to 99.

FF8 was better than Legend of Dragoon, I'm amazed someone admitted that FF8 is better than something.

FF8 was a great game. It was much better than many people claim. I think the only reason people don't like it was becuase it couldn't live up to FF7(which is the perfect RPG, and always will be).

Yeah, well, you are supposed to be able to upgrade game play with the greater technology, as FF8 should've, and didn't. If their style is as good as it can get, at least they should add new features and/or make the graphics, sound, etc better.

FF8 is an awesome game in my opinion. Though FF7 is better. FF8 had Quistis, and that's all that matters. Legend of Dragoon was good too but it's battling was nothing like FFT.

Anyways, I loved FFT. The battle system was amazing. And the next Tactics that will come out will be FFTA, Final Fantasy Tactic Advanced. That will be for the GBA.
