From about 10 minutes into Everquest II, there hasn't been one second yet where I haven't been doing at least two quests. EQ2 looks seriously quest-based. I don't know if I'm too keen on that idea just as yet.

I was expecting something more like EQ1 where it's mainly based on killing things, and quests were the occasional distraction. At least this early in the game, (6-8 hours) it seems that there will be umpteen billion quests. This isn't a definate down, of course, because they're (almost?) all optional.

There are "fetch me", "deliver this", "collect these", "kill these", "find these", and "kill this guy" quests so far that I've seen. Eventually, I'll probably phase out everything that doesn't directly involve killing things.

Just an FYI.
