War3 expansion? Well, duh!

Blizzard Entertainment gave us a peek today at the first details on Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, an expansion pack to last summer's worldwide PC hit (it's sold something like two million copies so far, all told). The new disc, expected to cost around $35, is currently slated to hit stores this summer.
Simply going over The Frozen Throne's new features would be boring, so let's start out by explaining what's happened in Azeroth after the Burning Legion was defeated over at Mount Hyjal. (If that last sentence made zero sense to you, it may be a good idea to start with the original game first.) Ner'zhul, the evil ruler of the game's undead armies, has been imprisoned in the Icecrown glacier within the continent of Northrend. A few very powerful people, including rogue Night Elf Illidan and traitorous Death Knight Arthas, want the power held inside the glacier very badly, and it'll be up to players to find out what they're up to and keep them from turning Azeroth into a very dark place. How do you do this? By fighting a series of battles, we'd imagine.

The Frozen Throne will introduce one new hero into each race, each with their own customized set of spells and actions, and your armies will be fortified with new units and abilities all around. There are three new tilesets, along with an assortment of new creatures to populate them, and a few new neutral buildings (and heroes) will be added to spice up your strategy. The multiplayer mode's also been greatly enhanced, with new Battle.net options and a multitude of maps.

We'll have more info on this expansion very soon, so stick around.

We should try and get into the beta and then maybe share it with a few people. It'll probably get BnetD'd like the original though, anyways.

Humans are going to own so bad! The humans have an auto-cast skill that steals a buff (bloodlust, IF, etc) and gives it to one of your guys.

i hope this doesnt unbalance the game even more, but it's always I HOPE
