Improve Zelaron

As a lot of Zelaron members have noticed, the community is growing, but the suggestions for actual improvements from outsiders have been few lately. People say that what isn't broken shouldn't be fixed, but personally, I beleive that nothing can truly work 100% perfectly.

Unlike the Forum Suggestion Inbox, this is a thread for discussing the expansion of the forum. What are your ideas for getting more, active members, and how can we please an even greater part of the crowds? Are we a gaming community and nothing else, or would there be any reasons why Engineers/Teachers would visit the board, for instance?

All ideas posted here will be considered, and together, we will create the greatest community ever.

I suggest that we make a great portal page containing THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of screens, codes, reviews, and much, much more...

I belieave that having this portal would bring alot more people than the forum it self, thus bringing more and more people to the forum...

trust me on this, a site with good content always brings more people...

it doesnt matter how you bring in the members as long as they arent jerks, i guess.

Im all for the new portal content. That would attract me easily if I was just looking around

If I want to check my mail I have to go to aol.com or get on AOL, and I don't really want to do either. I'm always here, so if I had e-mail here I wouldn't have to leave.

well, im thinking that E-Mail is kind of like PM so i dont think theres any need for it to be here in zelaron.

Why strain ourselves to make a portal with codes reviews etc. when there are already plenty of sites like that?

To make someone decide to go here, instead of elsewhere, it needs a little more than that.

no but that would just one of the many uses of the portal. I would look at reviews here because I am here lots. Alot of other people would too. I think an extreme gaming forum should have lots of different acessories. Hence the reason it is an EXTREME gaming forum.

E-mail is like PM, except I can't PM people that aren't here at zelaron.

i would just use something like outlook... because a program is always much more convenient than ANY webmail can ever be

well, if they give pop3 and SMTP accts prolly u'd have to use outlook but actually i don't see the need of email, existing hotmail why are we gonna eat zelaron's bandwith, it would be much worthier a downloads area...
PS:King Amazon, u don't really need to leave zel to read ur email, u can open another explorer instance...

How bout they just give pop3 and you find your own smtp
