Unreal Championship multiplayer plans

Multiplayer

What's Unreal Championship without multiplayer, though? There are five game types in the Xbox take on the series: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch,Capture the Flag, Domination 2.0, and Bombing Run. Deathmatch and CTF are similar to what you're used to, but Domination, a mode where your team has to control a set of points on a map for a certain amount of time, has been simplified a bit. The new version only has two points, beause DE felt that trying to track down all the points in Domination was confusing the fun of just having to keep points controlled. Last but not least is Bombing Run, where there's a bomb in the middle of the playing field, and you'll have to take it to the enemy team's base and blow it up. It's similar to CTF, but with one major difference -- you can pass the bomb between teammates, making it a twisted form of Soccer or Football where you'll have to use your teams to keep the bomb in play and get it to the enemy's base as quickly as possible.

The team's also a little more vague about the number of players that you'll be able to have in an online game. The game will release with the launch of Microsoft's broadband network Xbox Live, but until that network is complete, they don't want to deliver an exact number only to have to take it back. That being said, they're pushing for 16 players, just as you'll be able to play in the solo game, and are pretty confident that they'll deliver the same online as well. The game will use the Xbox voice communicator, they've said, so even if you're not playing against 15 other real fraggers, you'll at least be able to scream profanities at a large number of them at once.

i'm still skeptical about Xbox live, every day that pos isn't up they're digging themselves deeper and deeper in it.
