I just think this is incredibly ironic because just a couple of days ago I read an article about how the city of Denver (where weed is practically legal) wants Ricky Williams (outspoken pothead) to come play for them. What they didn't know was that their current running back is also a pothead. Hahahaha. That's plain funny.

But in all seriousness, it sucks for Henry, he's pending a year-long suspension. He's leading the league in rushing at the moment, too.

I don't understand why it's such a big deal. It's not like pot makes you a superhuman or anything. Probably didn't even effect how he plays.

Yeah no shit. It's not like it's a performance enhancing drug or anything like steroids. Why should his personal decision affect his job? I'll never understand it.

I believe i read an article about why they enforce this rule back when Williams was protesting it. The NFL stated that they didn't want children to hear about professionals using drugs, and getting away with it. It allows children to see faults in professionals and see that doing drugs is not the way to be. If i can find the article ill post it.

Fuck the children! You can't hide them from everything. They need to know the world is a sick screwed up place and you have to watch your ass. And beside how many kids under the age of 12 watch football? That's ludacris. AND it's already happened, so if they think kids are going to take it the way they are saying it's too late. It's more-so of setting a good example, alot of the younger crowd views NFL players as Role-models. The NFL also has a very strict substance abuse policy, suspending them for driving wrecklessly or speeding is somewhat absurd compared to using illegal substances.

Thats my exact point D3v. They're supposed to be role models. So suspending them is just saying Hey, we don't condone that. It's not actually keeping people from smoking pot. Nothing can really do that. So kids are going to see NFL players smoking weed more from the media exposure they get from being suspended than if it wasn't even on the list of substances that arn't allowed. Suspended or not, they're "role models" are still smoking the budda.

Well POT doesn't make people kill any more, actually it's the reverse effect, it takes them out of reality and sticks them in front of a TV sitting there until their buzz wears off.

Pot doesn't make people be couch potatoes. For some people, it sparks creativity. Think about how much music/art/literature has come from potheads.

Just pulling your leg, assface. But realistically you don't see how people are when they're stoned? I don't know who you've been hanging around but I can pick out stoners out of a crowd by their persona.

I see how SOME people are when they are stoned. A lot of people aren't like that at all. A lot of people are.

You probably couldn't tell when I'm stoned. I may laugh a lot more, but I don't act like a retard. It makes me think more, it makes me view situations from every angle possible.

I work at a law firm and I know tons of people that smoke here. Some are very successful lawyers. Some are mid-20 somethings that have great jobs, great houses, and great families. Anybody can smoke weed. Weed doesn't make you a certain way. It's up to the individual on how it affects you.
