Wasnt service pack 2 also supposed to work on cracked versions of windows xp? I remember I couldnt install sp1 because I got XP from a friend.

Then I read this article that they were thinking of making sp2 also available for cracked versions so that they could somewhat prevent for any major viruses/worms to spread.

Is this true?

Already have RC2, and that was just.. painful to download on 56k. Don't think I'll be doing THAT again.

Although this is funny:

The Article said:
Every time a virus or a worm makes the rounds, users throw their hands in the air.
No, they demand to know why their "wicked screensaver" doesn't work.

---

I do wonder how this is supposed to help, though - only people who didn't update for a month got hit by MSBlast.exe, and I doubt that anyone will update for this patch either. Oh well, at least these same people will still pay me $40-$50 to run Spybot, AVG, and HijackThis on their machines. I love it.

Yeah the easy repairs kick ass. Stupid n00bulars will think they're saving so much money by bringing it to a shop, while it's a very easy fix.

I can't wait to get a job, we do the same things all day during school.
