Everyone has a map in which something very peculiar occurs to you. This map .... caused for one of the largest surprises to occur onto myself. Trust me though, this is a fresh change from Blood Bath with only 4. Double that value and consider the Plains type of design on this map with everyone leading towards the center and it's only 64x64 so don't expect too much technology. NobleHelium has a very disturbing story to tell everyone about this map and it's occurance with myself so I thought I'd review it to get Noble out of telling that embarassing story. I'm pretty smart aren't I? =)

The players are located at 11:00, 1:00, 2:00, 4:00, 5:00, 7:00, 8:00, 10:00. Like I said above this map reminds me of the typical Warcraft II map that was designed. You should also look at the center of the map as the chaos zone. If you get 8 players onto this map I think you'll understand that chaos is the ONLY thing that can reign. With less players you can get away with some very sneaky details. That's the truth. Players have no where to hide right? Well, they do.

Each player starts with 6 mineral patches and 1 gas mine and can instantly see part of the mineral line of one of their opponents. Hilarious eh? Well it's still one of those things that can cause for some chaos. Oh btw, there's no expansions! Just those main base locations. However, if you get 8 players into a game and can play it successfully god bless your soul. With less the expansions become those available locations which is usually what does occur.
The strategy on this map? Best positioning, best defense, best offense, quickest attacks and the such. Those are the most important things when you play on this map. You can't tech very high. You might be able to get to Hydralisks/Lurkers but don't expect too much more with your economic surprise. Avoid Archons and Dark Templars they are fairly useless against the normal player. Against myself... oh never mind.

Abattoir is a map that gives a player a more enjoyable game then Blood Bath until that faithful day... GRR.
