Exclamation Question to someone computer savvy

On my computer, in my room I can't open up microsoft word. It tells me some error that it needs to be reinstalled. I can't find the cd that i need to reinstall it, does anyone know another way around this. The computer is using windows ME, and microsoft office xp i think. Is there anyway that i could take the word.exe or whatever it is from one computer burn it on a cd and put it on that computer.

Also anyone know how a program can just uninstall itself, I know it didn't due it by itself but anyone have any ideas since the program is still on the computer but won't open. Thanks

There's a good chance that something overwrote one of the DLLs that office uses, and unless you know which one, there's not much you can do besides just reinstall office like it says.
