Battle! Link vs. Cloud

Arena: Hylian Ruins - The monstrous corpse of an ancient castle. Partially destroyed walls, hole-riddled floors, five stories of eroded stone. Partially submerged in water. Surrounded on all sides by swampland of varying depth.


In the Red Corner, carrying an impossible amount of random adventuring equipment, yet somehow managing to avoid unsightly bulges in his form-fitting tunic! Equipped with his trusty bow, bombs, hookshot and The Master Sword! Hyrule's Paladin, The Hero of Time himself: Link!!!

And in the Blue Corner, sporting a hairstyle capable of blinding a giraffe! Wielding a cache of powerful Materia and The Ultima Weapon! Former SOLDIER 1st Class, the Terror of Shinra: Cloud Strife!!!

In this battle of blades and magic, who will claim the prize as their own? Will the Triforce-wielding Hylian learn his opponent's weaknesses and exploit them to their fullest? Or will the bastard son of Sephiroth and Jenova simply overpower his foe? It is here that their fates will be determined...

Although it may seem like a simple "My Sword is Bigger than Your Sword" battle, but it's not like that. Cloud would completely destroy Link. Link has a very puny arsenal compared to Cloud. Sure, Link has a few spells: fire, temporary invinciblity, heal, and of course the fire, light, and ice arrows. But I'd like to see Link hold up to Ultima in his face. Link may have skills, but he'd surely be cleaved in two by Cloud. It's a sad battle.

Naa, I have faith in Link.

Ominous clouds rise far atop the mountains as Link and Cloud face each other, both waiting for the other to strike first. Link finally decides to pick up his bow and fire an array of arrows towards Cloud, which he dodges with ease by leaping aside. Cloud holds onto his counter-attack materia tightly with his left hand and waits for Link to strike again.

Eventually, Link manages to hit his opponent in the left leg with a well-placed arrow, and Cloud only smiles from the pain as his materia starts to glow. He rushes towards Link and strikes him extremely hard with his blue, slightly phosphorescent Ultima Weapon and watches Link tumble backwards and crash into a wall, severely injured. Link quicky consumes a healing potion which brings him back to full hp, only to watch Cloud strike him a ton of times with his Omnislash attack. Cloud was only toying around with Link around all along.

Limbs of Hyrule's former hero lay astray all over the ruins and Cloud wanders off into the darkness.

It matters not whether you win or lose; what matters is whether I win or lose.

Uh....Cloud wasn't really in Shinra's SOLDIER.

This won't take long. 3X KOTR, 3X Ultima and then Shield. Let Link attack with his pussy weapons. Then OMNISLASH!!!

Winner: Cloud and to quote the black guy from GTA3 "you a dead bitch!"

Cloud would murder link any day, link is a pixie in tights and cloud is a badass warrior with a bigger sword.
