SUIKODEN III

personally, I've played Suikoden 1 and 2, and simply as you can see, I loved it. I am not going to talk about how great Suikoden 1 and 2 were here, let's just focus on the game Suikoden III

It doesn't really have sansational graphics, or stunning CG ( as a matter of fact, it doesn't really have any CG throughout the game, a lot of cut-scene though ). Anyways, the thing that stunned me the most was the game play AND the game story.

The game play is great; the skill learning system- it's a very wicked idea that how you can customize your characters just the way you want it. You can make them learn some really powerful moves, despite the fact whether they are capable to learn or not ( let me put in this way, Talented and not Talented ).

On top of that, the 'multi-chapters characters choosing' is great, you can play as a single character throughout the whole game, and you can switch between them in order to play the game with different perspectives ( intially with 3 people, and with side-quest of another 3 people -> not avaliable at the beginning of the game ).

However, the sad part is the music and the combat system which I will give 6/10 for combat system and 5.5/10 for music...they could actually do better, they just don't have the stunning music effect like Final Fantasy Series do, I don't know why, but I think it's because they want to keep it the traditional way; yet I enjoyed it

Overall - 9.2/10

Despite the music AND the combat system, other elements of this game can really pull up its score, and I am pretty sure they did right here. so it's up to you, either buy it, or rent it, or maybe worse, don't bother at all. ( I don't want to see THAT happen )
