The FANS are what have transformed hip hop into what it is today. The fact that Soulja Boy or Lil' Wayne or "whoever" is famous today is because so many people are listening to them. We're collectively as a society choosing what to watch on TV, who to listen to on the radio, etc. The genre is defined by us.
