Time is the lapse of which events occur, only on the basis, that is, that it is percieved.

Time goes on as events whether or not our pressence is in that place at once.

In that sense, time would be method in which the human records events in chronicles, because time itself is non-existant. Time is only existant because it is in the pressence of occured events, even if we weren't there.
