This is from an E-mail sent to me by my teacher:
I didn't get a chance to talk to you before you left. Miles was a solid
Fourth place. One of the judges placed him Third. All of the judges
complimented his performance. He played exactly as I hoped he would. His
performance was powerful and moving. When you are analyzing the top four
spots, all of the students put in very good performances. It comes down to a
personal preference. I didn't agree with James landing where he did, but I
have to let the judges do their job. Personally, I would have placed Miles
second or third. In my book, he was. He finally conquered his nerves and put
in a great performance. At the end of the day, it counts more what he
thinks. And the audience loved him! I was SO proud of him!
